Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland has a long history of summer outreach programmes. In 2012 we’re looking to recruit at least 120 people from all over the world to serve local YFC centres and churches in 15 locations across all 32 counties in Ireland. Ireland has an extensive heritage in sending out missionaries, but the current generation needs the gospel here, more than ever. Russia

YFC Russia needs two summer teams. One is needed to repair a Christian music centre in down-town St. Petersburg. This group could actually come at any time of the year, not just in the summer, but it would be helpful if you have some experience in this area. The second team is needed to help run a summer camp for teenagers at risk. You would be in charge of organising the programme and running the activities at camp.

Serbia

YFC Serbia's main focus for next year will be on the city of Backa Palanka, and they would like to have some teams over who can play and coach basketball really well. They want to organise a large basketball tournament in the city where the visiting team will be involved - not only playing and coaching basketball but building relationships with the young people.

In addition to that YFC Serbia would also like to invite one team of musicians, who will be involved in the above event and hold a concert during the tournament. The plan is to organise that in the second half of June.

London, England - the 2012 Olympics!

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside YFC and the ‘More Than Gold’ organisation, which is linking Christian organisations (such as YWAM, Salvation Army and Samaritan’s Purse) together who are bringing mission teams into the UK around the time of the Olympics. Why not think about bringing out a team next summer? A recruitment process is being developed with a taster conference for potential team leaders, training for teams when they get here, a welcome pack etc. So all you need to do is get a leader and a team and sign-up! We can hopefully place you with a YFC centre around London. There are lots of different activities going to be organised, so we may be able to channel ‘emphasis’ teams (eg. Sports, Creative Arts, Music etc.) into specific locations / churches to help with their outreach.
