Freedom in Christ's purpose is to equip Christian leaders in the UK to help every Christian take hold of the freedom that Christ has won for them and move on to maturity. They want to teach, train and resource the church to make disciples so that it can advance Christ’s kingdom more effectively. FIC's driving motivation is the conviction that the UK church could be revolutionised, if enough individual Christians understood better how to walk in the freedom that Christ has won for them.

They are a resource ministry available to all denominations and groupings within the Christian Church and they have at their disposal a well-proven and highly effective approach to discipleship (developed by Dr. Neil Anderson) that enables Christians to make significant progress towards maturity by resolving spiritual conflicts and understanding who they are in Christ. Books by Neil Anderson have sold over four million copies worldwide and have been translated into thirty languages. They are an enabling ministry. That means that they love to “give away” their methodology. Freedom in Christ's primary emphasis is on equipping and enabling Christian leaders to set up a “freedom ministry” in their own setting. They do not seek to control how Christian leaders implement the methodology but do produce helpful guidelines and do all they can to encourage best practice.
